Passionate about clean energy

CLEANaS is the Clean Energy Association of Newcastle and Surrounds, a not-for-profit association formed in 2012 by a group of locals passionate about clean energy. CLEANaS is governed by a nominated Steering Committee which oversees the projects and initiatives of the association.

It simply makes sense

CLEANaS is dedicated to driving the uptake of clean energy use and generation so our region can be more sustainable by transitioning away from our current dependency on fossil fuels. Clean energy will help to address rising power prices and the increasing levels of pollution in our atmosphere. We are moving to clean energy because it simply makes sense.

Shifting to clean energy

Shifting to clean energy will be promoted by our association in three ways;

• CLEANaS will assist in the establishment of community funded clean energy solutions for direct electricity supply to local organisations and businesses. 
• our association will drive the uptake of domestic renewable energy through education programs, bulk buy schemes and networking. 
• we will also seek other local opportunities for clean energy generation by working with industry, government and community groups.

CLEANaS initiatives must deliver a win-win for local community members, local businesses and, of course, our environment.
