About Lighthouse Community Renewable Energy ProjectsCLEANaS has produced resources to support community funded renewable energy projects in the Newcastle and Surrounding areas. The toolkit aims to make it easier for CLEANaS and other community groups to develop and fund solar installations to directly supply local businesses with electricity. Each solar installation will be funded by the community and will generate savings for the host business by producing clean electricity. The host business could be the local school, factory, shop, pub, local government, community facility, or other large daytime energy user. As the solar installation earns revenue, the community and host benefit.
The CLEANaS Lighthouse Toolkit includes documents, tools and contracts covering the essential aspects of the development and financing process from;
The Lighthouse Toolkit was supported by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage. The tools, documents and contracts are being used by CLEANaS and are available for other community groups in NSW to use for free. If you or your organisation is interested in the Lighthouse toolkit become a member or register your interest here. |
